Everyone is jealous of what you have…No one is jealous of what you had to do get it

We held a special MTM on boarding call for new members this week.

It’s where we get to know each other, set expectations and share what we do to live the life we want.

  1. We take a bearing - getting super clear on the gap between where they are now and where they want to be.

  2. Reflect how they currently spend (or waste) Time, and the Mindset blockages and patterns that maybe stopping success.

  3. Then we set a destination. That’s where they want to go. The life they want to create.

It struck me today the first thing most people say is always the same thing when it comes to Money, Time and Mindset:

  • X$ in the bank

  • X$ value of real estate

  • X$ of passive income

  • Travel the world

  • Support family

  • Help others

  • Be happy

(Does this sound like you?)

But these things are so ubiquitous they don't even mean anything.

We have a process to create more specificity. Because it creates a feeling, not a bunch of stuff and an arbitrary idea of what to do with time off.

But I also think of it through a better question:

“What are you willing to struggle for?”

Ouch.

Everyone is jealous of the things you have.
No one is jealous of what you had to do to get it.

The life you want requires struggle.

The positive is the side effect of handling the struggle.

Example: Building Muscle takes work. You have to put the effort in the gym. The muscle breaks, You feed it with good food, break it again, and it grows.

It's a struggle. It hurts.

Its no different if you want to build your Money, Time or Mindset muscle. It takes work. It's easy to avoid. Because the muscle you need to work hasn’t done it before.

You’re going to need to break your previous habits and conditioning which will feel like a struggle to build the life you want. It’s as simple as that.

Everybody wants something. And everybody wants something enough. They just aren’t specific enough about what it is they want, or rather, what they want “enough.”

It's not a struggle when you’re specific.

"I wanted the reward and not the struggle. I wanted the result and not the process. I was in love not with the fight, but only the victory.”

And life doesn’t work that way. There's no magic pill.

This is the most simple and basic component of life: our struggles determine our successes.

So choose your struggles wisely.

Our members chose their struggle.

But they’ve made it easier because they are making it specific. They know we have got their back, and we’re here to support them when it hurts.

They have a community doing the same thing. They go far when they struggle together.

And soon, it's not a struggle. It's easy.

And the specificity of their future life comes to reality.

The proof?

Next week they will get to spend time on their MTM Mastermind with a member who was once where they were, and now is Thriving.

They wont feel jealous of what they have. They'll understand the struggle and embrace it.

We had 8 membership spots, and we have one left. We’re closing the doors this weekend.

Last chance to get down the MTM gym and work the muscle.

Do you want the last spot?

Send me an email with the word 'muscle' and I'll send you the invite.
